VPS need mail server set up to work with php mail featu 2

My domains dont use the mailserver all my mail is handled remotely. However the php mail feature shows success when it sends mail but does not actually get to destination. All I need is php mail() to work. Should be a quick fix but i dont have time to research how to set the settings. the WHM is reporting an error and so a quick fix is needed. thankyou.

Run AMR on VPS

I run software called Article Marketing Robot (AMR) on my computer. The problem is it takes up so much memory that I can not do anything else on my computer while it is running.
